Ride of Steel                                      
    Built in 1999 for $12,000,000 this Intamin AG Hypercoaster has a 208 ft. lift and 205 foot drop at 70 degrees.

     Reaching 73 miles per hour this 5400 foot coaster is Darien Lakes tallest and fastest .

Intamin builds these models for maximum "air time".

            Minimum Rider Height: 54 inches.  

 2 trains with 8 cars per train. Riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows for a total of 32 riders per train.

 Some "larger" riders may not fit. There are trial seats at the rides entrance so that  guests can see if they will fit.

Originally called "Superman: Ride of Steel" the name was changed when PARC took over in 2007.
